No, the wired video doorbell has more advanced features, like the 3s pre-buffer and no wake-up time. Also, the doorbell dimensions can be very slim, fitting into narrow door frames.

Is the video doorbell compatible with existing doorbell chime?

Not this case. To make installation and compatibility simple, the doorbell requires you bypass the existing doorbell chime. It’s as simple as connecting a jumper on the chime. The product comes with an electronic chime to notify people in the house.

Can the video doorbell record 24x7?

No, the doorbell doesn’t support 24x7 recording for now. The 3s pre-buffer let you see the whole picture prior to the initial alert.

How many days of video can the included 4GB eMMC built-in storage save in the most common usage scenarios?

The doorbell has a 4GB eMMC built-in storage, which can store up to 30 days of video, assuming you’re recording 30 videos a day and 30 seconds of each video. This is more than enough in most cases. Actual duration varies depending on the recording frequency and video length.

Can you record and watch history video clips without subscription?

Using the video doorbell doesn’t require subscription plans. Your video clips are encrypted and stored on local storage. Only you together with your family members being shared as guest accounts can access them.

What’s the wireless range of the video doorbell?

The video doorbell connects to your home WiFi. It works with any 2.4GHz wireless router, mesh system or modems. Depending on your WiFi transmit power, distance and walls in between, the doorbell range varies. In outfield test in the US, it works well in most 3000sqft houses.

How many chimes can be linked up to the video doorbell?

At the current stage, each video doorbell can link up with 4 chimes. We are going to release the add-on chime to the market in the following a few months, so please stay tuned!

How does the video doorbell detect the motions?

The built-in camera of video doorbell system is triggered to start recording through the full-image pixel contrast, followed by which the system will further undergo a human-shape detection. The triggering mechanism for the current video doorbell system requires users to adjust the settings of activity zone and the sensitivity level of detection accordingly due to various user scenarios.
